DAVID BOWIE: Absentee Winner

David Bowie won Best British Male Artist on Wednesday at the Brit Awards, England’s equivalent of The Grammys. He was nominated based on the strength of his 2013 album, The Next Day. But, in keeping with not doing any press for that album, Bowie did not attend the ceremony in London.

Tony Visconti, the producer of The Next Day, says there are a handful of unreleased tracks from the sessions for that album that are “astounding.”
